Description

A refillable leather journal, made by hand to outlast every notebook you put in it.

This Chestnut Edition leather journal is made to hold either one or two A5 notebooks. The single comes with your choice of plain or lined paper, the double comes with one of each. Made in Japan, Midori’s MD paper is thread-stitched to lie completely flat when open.

Our hides are sourced from the Badalassi Carlo tannery in Pisa, where tannins are still drawn from chestnut and quebracho timber using traditional methods. We’ve chosen their 2mm Minerva Smooth; a full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather that softens with handling and deepens in colour over time. It will look better in a decade than it does today.

Designed, hand-cut and finished by Rhianne in our South Downs atelier. Made to order - ships in two weeks.

Personalisation

Each journal can be personalised in gold or blind.

Blind personalisation is pressed into the leather without colour, leaving a tonal impression that deepens with age alongside the leather itself. Gold is applied with a fine foil for a brighter more defined finish.

All lettering is debossed in uppercase, in the position shown in the example image. Should you prefer an alternative placement, please get in touch.
